Service Description

Explore the many ways of Joining one piece of wood to another, from screws and glue to special cut wood joints. Demonstrations are provided. The class will include: an understanding of the forces to be resisted and the expectations for a wood joint; the types of wood joints and their relative strengths and weaknesses; adhesives and their application; fasteners such as nails, screws, and other connecting hardware; layout and cutting of typical wood joints by hand and by machine.
